Visit Virginia Day

Learn what's possible at UVA

UVA's Visit Virginia Day is an invite-only, personalized open house designed to help you learn everything that's possible at the University of Virginia.

  • Talk with our admission team about submitting your strongest application.
  • Discover ways to pay for UVA with our financial aid experts.
  • Explore our academic programs and see what you can study.
  • Let a student show you the real UVA with a tour of Grounds.
  • And more (including breakfast and lunch)!

This year we're offering two dates for you to pick from: September 19 and October 16. Both will have the same program.

Visit Virginia Day is first-come, first-served. Registration will close when we reach capacity.

We're happy to answer questions you have, either by phone at (434) 982-5300 or by email at [email protected].

We hope to see you here!

Here are some helpful tips for your day with us:

  • Location: Newcomb Hall Ballroom. From the top floor of the Central Grounds Parking Garage, look for the volunteers and signs guiding you to Newcomb Hall where you'll check in for the day and enjoy breakfast.
  • Parking: Free parking will be available in Central Grounds Parking Garage. Please disregard any signs related to paying for parking. Overflow parking will be available at Culbreth Parking Garage.
  • Weather: We'll be outside for part of the day, so we recommend dressing for the weather, bringing a jacket and an umbrella just in case, and waring comfy shoes.
  • Travel Grants: Need help with the cost of your travel to UVA? All students invited to Visit Virginia Day can apply for travel grant funds.
