Welcome! At UVA, diversity allows people to come together in mutual respect to share ideas and learn from one another. When that happens, we believe that everyone on campus benefits, and we believe that students leave the University with a richer and expanded view of the world around them.
Diversity means more than just welcoming students with many different backgrounds. It means making sure that all students feel at home at UVA and that they all have the same opportunities once they are enrolled at the University.
As you begin to evaluate colleges, please feel free to contact the Outreach Office. We will be more than happy to answer your questions about UVA and college admission. We know you have many important decisions to make about your future, and want to be as helpful as possible. The best of luck to you this year and we look forward to being in contact with you.
Fall Blast and Fall Fling are time-honored annual open houses that Outreach looks forward to hosting every year. Unfortunately, we are not able to have prospective students and their families on Grounds this year.
In lieu of Blast and Fling, we have created an exciting new virtual open house—one that aims to highlight Black/African-American and Hispanic/Latinx student experiences here at UVA. It’s called Fall Fest!
Fall Fest will give prospective high school juniors and seniors the chance to learn all about UVA by hearing about our community from current students, faculty, staff. The day’s events will include a welcome from the Dean of Undergraduate Admission; school-specific breakout sessions; a presentation on the ins and outs of admission and financial aid; panels on the Black/African American student experience, the Hispanic/Latinx Student Experience, and student resources; and more!
Fall Fest will take place on Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM EDT. Registration will remain open until October 10, or until we reach capacity. We hope to see you there! Register today!
The Outreach Office is located in the Office of Admission. Feel free to email us or call us at 434-982-3377.
